Fuel cut is not subtle, and will set a code 34 in the ECU , and illuminate the MIL light briefly.
I doubt you experienced it, but short TE1 to E1 and check if you have any stored codes in the ECU.

I have the strangest thing happening to my 91 Turbo. I've had the car 4 years now - all stock - rebuilt engine installed prior to my purchase. I've done all of the maintenance / repair on it myself - except the head gasket which I had done by Craig Paisley. It's a daily driver - even through the NY winters - in the 4 years I've driven it I only once got the boost gauge near the 8 psi mark on the stock meter.Last week I took the car down to Virginia - about 450 miles each way car ran perfect - averaged about 85mph - longest trip the cars been on in a few years. Car ran perfect. Now the weird part - today I had it out playing and I consistently got the gauge OVER 8 psi. Now I don't know what FC feels like but at one point it felt like the engine hesitated - and then it was fine.I'm interested in any and all ideas about this. Is there some common failure mode of the waste gate or turbo I should know about? Thanks in advanceJeff91 Turbo, 5 speed
