[Supras] Supras Digest, Vol 53, Issue 20

Joe,

I am willing to bet that the 304k is after the head gasket was done by the 1st owner since you didn't know the full previous history. I read an archived post in here somewhere that most BHG happenend between 80-120k.

Liam N

Christian,

It's amazing how much luck you had just from torqueing it down. You got a deal for 1500 spent on a car and 100k mile just from retorqueing if you ask me. I myself spent 1500-1800 dollars for a whole rebuilt and it never ever ran right. Done by that idiot mechanic I posted. I got my exhaust leak fixed partially with help from you folks here. But I still now have a gas fume smell whenever the ambient air gets above 80 degree ever since that idiot completed the repair.
