[Supras] Hubcentrics??

I have a question about these, my current wheels don't have them (the
fronts of one set do, none of the others) Now, thinking about wheels,
the lugs are really there to hold the wheels onto the hub, not to take
all of the load from the weight of the car, seems the hub itself would
be intended for this. That being said, it seems important to have
hubcentric rings that correctly fit the spindle/hub diameter to there is
little clearance between the two. Does anyone know if where to find
these? Are they really necessary or am I looking at this wrong?
