    This will not answer your question directly, but I can tell you that 
stock '98 wheels will fit.  I have them on my '91T.  They take 17" 
tires.  Fronts are 8" wide and rears are 9.5" wide.  Only one size fits 
the rear (believe they are 255/40/17's or 275/40/17's but don't quote me 
on it) but Tire Rack has a very good selection.
