Hello gang, so for starters my 1985 Supra came with like a 4.11 LSD rear, and I need to get one of the lower number ones like a 3.7 or less, also LSD anyone have one ?
Also I am thinking about seeing if I can put the internals from either a MKIII or MKIV into my MKII housing.
Just looking at the parts, it's clear to see that the MKIII is stronger than the MKII, larger bolts, larger gears etc etc.
I've looked at the MKIII and MKIV housings, and in order to try and put the whole housing in would require a major re-design on the rear cross member and basically alot of work.
So anyway in order to get measurments on either adapting the whole housing, or getting different bearings that would allow me to use other internals I need some scrap housings.
Does anyone have any broken differentials that they would part with for cheap
I'd like to get my hands on one each so I can CMM them and look at them in CAD and find the best solution.
Last but not least, how much success in terms of E.T. has anyone had with a factory MKII rear? I know I'm going to need way more, but it's at least worth asking.
Thanks guys
Sevan
PS is there anywhere else I might want to post this that may get more attention?
I have not kept up with any other supra anything in the past 8 years so.....
I only have you all and google search.
Thanks again
