LN,

Are you sure it is coming from the rear of the exhaust manifold and not the EGR baypass cover located on the back of the head?
I had that problem.

Recheck the manifold and see if there is a crack.? Could be in between each of the ports entering the manifold.

If you know someone with a spare maybe you can try there manifold.?

Where are you located?? I have two or three in my parents garage if you want to try it.? I am in CA Bay Area.

Brandon

Subject: [Supras] Help me locate an exhaust leak

Argghhh I am at my wits end. I have did two teardown in trying to seal my
exhaust leak. First tear down I didn't machine the the exhaust manifold ( my
bad) and used Felpro gasket. Leak was same as before.

So wiser now I removed the exhaust manifold on the second tear down and had it
sanded down by a machine shop to .05mm. But still an exhaust leak now using OEM
gasket. Arggghhhh. What's next??? I am thinking of using Remflex gasket but
it seems weak without a steel fire rings unlike OEM or Felpro. Local mechanic
suggested double up but I doubt it would work seing that the OEM gasket is
doubled up over the Felpro and sounding worse than Felpro. HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP
please.
