I can't imagine they'd ever come after the racing world with any support
to back it up. You're talking more complete burn, engines operating in
their most efficienct range (vs. putting along in traffic) and vehicles
that are awfully hard to regulate (unless they double as road legal
cars, proper race cars do not)

I'd imagine my local track (VIR) put out as much pollutants when it shut
down for years and had cows roaming as it did in the original days and
it's current restored state :)
Maybe it will get like Japan here, higher costs to operate an older
vehicle (maintenance issues aside)

Racing wont be affected.  Never is.

Unsure on the canadian fuel thing.
