[Supras] Speed Limit Chime

Sure seems to me that there must be a way to find a single lead to clip to make it stop. Whether it's the lead for speed sensing for the circuit or the lead to the speaker/buzzer that makes the sound, it should be easy enough to find. Speed could possibly be simulated with a drill on the speedo cable, but, then, the miles on the odometer would be off unless that were disconnected prior to the testing. Not sure how complicated the circuit is. I supposed it could also be looking for ignition to be running to verify that it's not being tricked, but, seems like a little bit much for what they would be doing in the 80's. I would guess there would be more info. To be found on European or Japanese sites though.

Good luck!

I believe that such chimes are/were mandatory for Japan, as there's nowhere in the country
that's legal to go faster than that.

It's probably in the instrument cluster itself, as that's the easiest place to situate
anything speed based, though it could potentially run from the ABS speed sensors as well.
