As an update to this, received the replacement FW (Fidanza this time)
and it fit fine. It didn't slip right onto the crank but was able to
start slightly where the other wasn't close to starting. Placed on top
of a heater for a few minutes and it slid right into place and all bolt
holes lined up fine.
I drove for ~50 miles on the new FW and clutch (kevlar, Southbend DXD)
and it really didn't feel too much different than stock. I expected to
stall several times and find difference it revs hard to get used to but
it was subtle. Clutch was very smooth so far, no chatter but it doesn't
seem to fully disengage until the pedal is almost completely pressed to
the floor (did bleed the slave cyl.)
I guess 500 miles will be sufficient before normal use? Thanks for the
help folks, I think the 11lb. Vs 17.5lb. will be more noticable once
really in the boost and revs.
