[Supras] Speedometer problem

This rout works as well and really do not over tighten the bolts for the rear mount Jon has mentioned.? They will strip very easily and the 4 that are used to hold onto the car are not easy to fix at all.? The nuts are inside of a hollow area not acceptable unless you drill into the chamber.? The nuts are only tap welded and do not have much strength so over tightening will do one of two things.? Break the tap weld or strip the nut.? Be very careful when tightening this.

I have already sent another e-mail on how to use only a channel lock pliers.? Try that first.? If that does not work, then use this process Jon mentioned.?

Brandon

P.S.

If you do go this rout, use a?scissor jack (the jack that came with the car)?to hold up the rear of the transmission.

I've just done this miserable job a few weeks ago. Support the tranny and
remove the 8 bolts
holding the rear mount on. You can access the short cable once the mount is out,
although it is
still tight to get access with tools to loosen the knurled nuts.
Don't overtighten those mount bolts on reassembly. Follow the TSRM torque
specs.
