[Supras] Drivers side front knuckle

Bob
I would change the bearing also. I have changed both front wheel bearings
myself. If the knuckle is properly supported in the press, all the pressure
would be on the bearing and the press frame. Most damage is caused by
improper use of press adapters, an inexperienced tech or both. Sometimes the
bearings will come apart and leave the inner and or outer races frozen to
the knuckle or the hub, since the race is hardened steel you can usually
crack it by cutting a groove in it with cut off wheel inserting a chisel
into the groove, sharp blows with a bf hammer or use an air hammer chisel to
crack it, relieve pressure and remove the race. As mentioned, heat works
well here also.
Good Luck
Fred
