[Supras] Supras Digest, Vol 50, Issue 22

Well - hypothetically, a 1977 Celica GT Liftback with a 20R engine in it,
driven by a hypothetically young and stupid driver, could hypothetically
drive up Interstate 25 from the exit for the North Gate of the Air Force
Academy to the Arapahoe Road exit on the south end of Denver (a distance
of 41.3 miles according to Google maps) in 22 minutes flat, for a
hypothetical _average_ speed of 112.6 MPH. Or so.

I stress this is all hypothetical, because to actually do this would be
stupid and dangerous, not to mention highly illegal, and nobody *I* know
would do this with his two friends in the car, even if he WAS young and
stupid.

And CERTAINLY nobody *I* know would be dumb enough to do it a second time
30 days later and get stopped and get a very nice ass-chewing and a $163
ticket from the Colorado State Patrol. Nope. All hypothetical.

:D

But my thoughts turned to a gut check that my high speed radials were old and I had visions of blowing a tire and tumbling for a half mile or so through the Wyoming desert. I did not want to do that so I slowed down to 70 MPH and just let trucks own the road.
