Rather common on Toyotas of your vintage and newer.  Depressing the clutch 
pedal disengages the cruise circuit.

They can be had at the dealership for very little money (rare occurance @ 
yota dealer).

No, they're not prone to plugging and the heater of a Supra should blast 
strong.
