Humid, yes. bugs, not as bad as you would think as long as you're near
civilization,

 

I tried to stay out of the woods, the whole Blair Witch thing and all.

 

Memorial Day is a little too cold for an outside party most years and well
it did snow 2 weeks before Halloween this past year.

 

If you want to stay there you just have to pray that Al Gore is right.

 

Most people up north are hoping for global warming.

I don't mind the cold either. You can always put on more layers.

Isn't Michigan humid and full of bugs in the summer? 
I hate humid.

I spent a large portion of last winter between Nov 15, and Feb 15th,
in Nome, AK as well.  Wasnt horribly inconvenienced there either.
(interesting place, horrible place, all at the same time)

Cold can be managed, getting too hot is plain uncomfortable.
