I live up in howard county. the mechanic i took my car to to get it fixed to pass inspection was really into my car because he likes them but rarely sees them up here (funny part, guy at next shop over started driving his to work 2 days after i dropped my car off :-p ). this car in no way should have passed inspection/emissions due to the modifications on it.
small air filter directly on the turbodivorced wastegate downpipe venting open atmos (he welded the end shut to pass emissions then cut it back open)previously stated lack of any EGR systemhuge front mount intercooler that had to be ziptied into place as custom mounting brackets didnt support PROPER placement. (previously owner removed front frame bumper to support installing the intercooler, which was first thing i fixed. I have a bad habit of wanting to SURVIVE an accident)
all hardpipe intercooler tubingMAFTrunning really rich since I didnt know the MAFT was tuneable at the time (Its still got some issues so im trying to expedite my friend to finish my MS)
emissions it barely passed (i doubt the small little aftermarket cat on the car could really have helped anyway). the nice bass rumble had the whole building shaking.
