[Supras] Car Fax

Google sent me to Car Fax that gave me the description.
That was easier than dissecting the vin. I knew that 1 was American made
and G was used by GM and the eight was the engine and the 10th was the year
but it has been years since I used that information.
I would seriously look at any Toyota small car as a beater rather than a
Saturn. They just don't break... although I will admit that I have a 95
Pontiac Transport that I only still have because it was cheap when I bought
it. It really has been expensive to keep running all these years though

I know I know, my Datsun list flamed me for the same question about Car Fax.
I just had a 94 SL2 as a daily driver and to haul junk that I didn't want to
dirty up my Datsun or Supra, was a great car and really cheap to maintain
for 3 years I had it, till a drunk driver did this to it.
So I am looking at a Sat. Wagon, how did you guys figure that out?
The windows are a joke in them as the electrical system or switches are
always nutty, glad this one has manual one. Haven't had to change an
alternator yet, after your remark, Sean, I hope I don't have to!
Thanks!
Tom

Only saturn I have experience with was a lemon, constantly in and out of the
shop for minor crap that was engineered to be dificult (who puts an
alternator in such a spot that you need to remove the passenger wheel well
to reach?)
