The afm just measures flow, it doesn't care about pressure. If you have a
leak in the IC pipes, then what is happening is that the afm is measuring
more air than is actually going in the engine, it is injecting fuel for the
qty of air it's metering, but since less air is actually going into the
engine (some of the metered air is leaking out), you are probably running
very rich under boost. It usually gets worse as you run more boost, as more
boost will push the leak open more.
