If your NJ emissions program is like Wisconsin, just keep your OEM exhaust on
for the test, pass it, and then go home and strip it off. I have that routine
down to about an hour. I keep the OEM exhaust up in the rafters of my garage
for those emission dates.
My daily driver exhaust is a hand-built 2.5" mandrel-bent downpipe & main
pipe(no cats) to a simple Dynomax muffler at the rear. It's absolutely amazing
to feel the difference between stock and uncorked.
