I just did the physics/math. Assuming 90MPH, 17lb/17in rims and 24lb/25.5in
tires and that all of the kinetic energy stored in rotation went losslessly
into moving the car. And assuming that the total rotational kinetic energy
of the rotational parts (engine/transmission/driveshaft) is equal to two
tires. The car, 3800lb, would then be moving 16.4MPH. Zoom zoom.
With this one tire has a angular kinetic energy of 1.492 kg*m^2 and an
angular velocity of 124.72 rad/sec.
