[Supras] Turbo Conversion

I am doing a conversion of my 89 NA 5-speed to a turbo through the use of a donor car; 89 Turbo automatic.  I have read several times on this list over the years that to keep the 5-speed, I need a 5-speed ECU.  After reviewing the wiring diagrams (Thanks Mike B!), I don't find any inputs to the engine ECU from the ECT computer.  There are 3-4 outputs from the engine ECU that go to the ECT computer, but outputs typically can be left open.

Is there anyone on the list that has done this conversion and tell me what I am missing in the wiring diagrams?  Or confirm that it is not mandatory to have a 5-speed ECU......
