Bernie, glad you are enjoying the car being back on the road but if I'm
reading this correctly you only have 75 miles on the engine and have
broken the rear wheels loose already? I'm hoping this isn't a newly
built engine.

Just installed a simple ball and spring boost controller last night,
with
a small bleed built in (Dawes). Bench set it to about 10-12 PSI. Took
the car out this morning, and when it got into boost, it broke the rear
tires loose in second gear! Mods are: 500cc Greddy, Lex AFM, Cometic
HG,
ARP studs, HKS air filter (will upgrade to one with better filtration),
modified stock FPR, Walbro, RT 3" downpipe and cat, 80 mm HKS exhaust,
moved oil pickup 3'1/2" further back in pan. Boost signal is being
taken
from 3000 pipe, so real boost may be 15 PSI. Did not upgrade
intercooler
piping yet, but smoothed entry to 3000 pipe and cast elbow underneath
with
die grinder.

Still need to install AFR meter, new power antenna mast, windshield
washer
pump, and a few other things. Until the AFR meter is in, I'm just doing
short bursts past 6 PSI, followed by overrun to lube cylinder walls.
Have
75 miles on engine. Also intend to recalibrate stock boost sensor with
resistive voltage divider at output, so can use stock electric gauge on
dash (will also recalibrate scale at some time).

Wheels are late MkIV, with 17" X 9" rears with 275-40-17 Bridgestones.
