[Supras] ABS Actuator Unit

Bob,
Believe it or not, the ABS still works as it should. It's kicked in and
modulated the brake pressure to the wheels as it should (wet roads). The
block isn't 100%. It's the initial braking that doesn't work, as the fluid
gets to the caliper. Once the pads are in contact, now it's just pressure,
which transmits through the unit with no problem, and braking is straight.
And I'd rather have than not have the ABS. We get snow here from Nov to
April, and though I don't drive it in the winter, I *may* have to if the
truck breaks down.

Doesn't the ABS work by alternately 'blocking' and allowing pressure to the
caliper(s)? Perhaps the abs piston that does the alternating is stuck in the
closed position. If this is an electrical solenoid would disconnecting the
power to the ABS unit have any effect?
Just a thought.
