I replaced the spark plugs and that fixed my problem.

Check the wiring for the cps. Chech the plugs. Bad plugs or bad wires would cause symptons such as that.

Subject: [Supras] hard starting problem on 89T

My 89t has always started good, but for the last week it has gave me a problem.
When I first started it in the morning it would start find then I would drive it
about 3 miles to work. It would set from 8:00a.m.to 5:00p.m. Then when I
would try to start it, it would turn over good but would not crank. After trying it
2 or 3 times it will crank but miss and sputter like it is running on 2 cylinders.
It does this for about 2 minutes then it clears up. If I try to give it gas during this
2 minutes it will die. It has been doing this for about a week and only in the evening.
Untill this morning it did it. And did it again this evening. We have had some very hot
days in the past month and it has cooled off a lot the past few days.
Any suggestions or ideas would appreciated.
                                                         Thanks, James
