Joe:
I had the same idea, but do not want to compromise the worth of the '90 to
any further extent than I need to. The BHG and a couple of other niggling
things are enough. When listing it I hope to be able to get the message
across that the engine otherwise is in very good condition (synthetic oil
since 40K miles), and ran strong as stock before the BHG. I made up a
block lapping tool from a 10" lapping plate driven at the center with a
small 12V gearhead motor which turns at about 60 RPM, less with less
voltage. I'll be happy to lend it to the car buyer with a small deposit.
A precision straightedge from MSC or Enco costs about $100, but I'm not
going to let that out of the house.
Also there is the prospect of doing double work with an interchange. But
we shall see. I'll disassemble the '91 first and see how it goes.
