Hello,
Has anyone here used this tool, to consider which turbo would be most efficient to use for their application? I have, and it suggested a few turbos for consideration; i.e.., on my current set-up a GT40 82mm, 50trim, 0.58 A/R was the most efficient. I entered required data from my most recent dyno runs to obtain that result. Here is a copy of my result. To go there simply copy this URL and past it into the address bar of your web browser http://www.not2fast.com/turbo/glossary/turbo_calc.shtml?FeetASL=60&Tamb=21&Bore=83&Stroke=91&nCyl=6&RPM=5250&VE=100&Boost=10.5&Ec=78&Eic=70&PdropIC=3.0&TambIC=21&wiPercentMethanol=50&wiRate=100&wiTemp=21&SFC=0.50&AFR=12.8&maxInjectorDutyCycle=80 It will take you to the site and drop the data into the calculator for you. Then navigate down the page to the turbo drop down menu and choose a turbo. The plot will show the efficiency of the selected turbo, for the current setup data.
Knowing there is a difference between the theoretical and empirical; my question is, can my Lexus/550/ND280lph fuel pump setup, take on a turbo the size of a Garrett GT40?
Thanks,Van
