Bob:

    A Chrysler is probably the last car I would buy except if the new 
Challenger (retro 60's) is too good to pass up with the hemi.  Yes, $10K 
is a lot to pay for a diagnostic system.  So on the assumption that I'll 
wind up with a Japanese car, the choice should be simpler.  Years ago I 
bought an OTC (?) full diagnostic system with adapters and modules for 
all cars up to '95.  It was used exactly once on my '87 Chevy van.
