Mig or Tig weld. That should give you a tall enough bead.
Not much is needed.
Consider welding the pipes together where a cut lines up in
a bend. Besides, the fewer soft connections the better.
15 mins per end is what I'm talking about. You could have
rolled or welded (again, Mig or Tig) beads on all of the ends
in less time.
Just trying to save you some time and effort.
