Bill... This story can't end well.

Remember the bad movie The Fast and the Furious? The lead characters' first
car was an Eclipse that after some bad special effects blue up 10 minutes
into the movie.

Art imitates life and you will most likely be the recipient of another blown
up car in the near future. Sadly, the Eclipse isn't a reliable as the
Toyota.

Thanks, everybody. I guess that it must be the 42080 number is just a
casting number, maybe? My original pistons don't have the small indentation
in the center like you mentioned. Maybe they were correct after all;
although it doesn't explain why the top ring grooves (ALL of them) were
about .003" to wide. All I know is that the new ones are better in that
respect, with only a 002" clearance; whereas the old were pushing .005". I
think that's why I had two broken top rings. Who knows?

I'm having my machine shop replace the wrist pin bushings in the connecting
rods. With that, I'm starting to feel like we'll have a pretty damn nice
engine. Interestingly enough, the same step father who okayed my son to buy
this hurtin' bucket of bolts Supra and dump it in my lap, is now going to
front him the money for a $4000 turbo Eclipse. So now, he'll have a $4000
invested Supra that's worth about $2000, and be selling a car that I paid
$1000 for Goodyear tires, so he'd be safe, that he drove about 1000 miles.
The Supra is about to become a lame duck. (The step father is heavy into the
mind control/power scene. He enjoys it.) However, I have learned my lesson
very well. It'll be done when I feel like finishing it, which might be a
real, real long time.

Thanks to all. I couldn't have made it this far without the help of ALL of
you! Hell, maybe I'll keep it and meet you all in Las Vegas next time!

Bill
