Wouldn't just be easier to install one of the small block Chevy's you have
laying around at the marina?

Subject: [Supras] cam shafts

Okay, here's my newest thought/dilemma: 1990 7MGE, NON-turbo. I had
previously found that, although I have a NA block (one tapped knock sensor
hole, not two) I had all turbo pistons. I knew this because the top ring
grooves are to wide for the rings and they have turbo numbers ---80. So now,
I began to wonder about the cam shafts. I had tagged them when I took 'em
out, luckily, as to whether they were exhaust or intake. Now I find that the
only feature of them seems to be a big cast 5 and a big cast 3. No part
numbers at all, other than that. The on-line manual seems not to even list
the exact first part of the part number in the application page, and gives
no identifiable features. I am trying to figure out how to tell if I have
turbo or non-turbo cams...or if there even is a difference. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Bill '90 NA
