Say, everyone... It's me again, Bill, with the 90 NA from Hell. As you may or may not recall, I had discovered that the engine I'm working with had been rebuilt once already, not to mention a very, very poor attempt a second head gasket that failed within probably 500 miles. So here I am, with my new ACL undersize bearings, metal head gasket, exquisite machine work on the deck and head, etc etc. The engine had two broken top rings. I thought they fit a bit lose. Thought they were the wrong rings. New rings fit the same. Hmmmm, I said. Well whadda ya know? The engine has TURBO PISTONS. It's an NA block because there's only one place for a knock sensor. Man, this is a tough fight. There is NOTHING right with this thing. Anybody out there want to sell me six NA pistons? I think the right number is inside the skirt: 42070. If it says 42080, like mine do, they're turbos and won't work for me. Rods, too, to make it simple. I won't be at my computer until Friday, but if you want to sell some, give me a shout.
