[Supras] bad coolant temp sensor

Hello list,

I am in the process of checking my wiring harness in preparation for
finishing my rebuild. So far, all my wiring has checked out ok from
ECU to connectors. But I am having a problem with the 2 coolant temp
sensors in the thermostat housing. I am not sure why there are two
(one goes directly to ECU, haven't traced the other), but neither of
them seem to work. I have looked up the acceptable resistances in the
TSRM and wiring manual. I am getting an open circuit between sensor
housing and connector pin for both of them. The sensors don't appear
to be in bad shape.

Are there any other checks I can do?
