I'm with Jeff on this one,
In Ireland we have very Strict emmissions too, and I manage to get lots of
customers big BHP cars through the tests, and these are non Cat cars.
We use RC injectors as well as the other Named brands, as flow testing over
the years showed the cheap versions to be useless when it came to stable or
being with a close flow rate to each other.

To get cars through, we do the following.

1. Brand new o2 sensor (cheap and makes a big difference)
2. Reliable flow tested injectors such as RC
3. AFPR

On the day of the Test and with the help of a Wideband, we reduce fuel
pressure from base setting until
the ECU is having to fight hard to keep in the 16+ range, then slowly back
it up again until its holding around 15.5-17 AFR's

Marty

Chevy van for inspection. The HC limit of 174 PPM seems very hard to meet
in some instances. When I had the Supra running with the stock engine, it
was super smooth with no hint of a misfire, but the HC reading was around 90
PPM. Amazingly the Chevy V8 was only 9 PPM with about 10 degrees of spark
retard. Conversely a 3 liter SOHC older Nissan is right up at the limit
with fresh spark plugs and about the same spark retard. CO and NOX have
never been problematic.

emissions characteristics of Lucas injectors. Others in the group had
reported good results in that regard from RC (disc type) injectors. Yet
others have advised against use of Venom injectors, as quality control seems
poor. Arlene uses Greddy injectors, but there is no emissions inspection in
Oklahoma.

sheet metal cover over the pintle end for some good reason, or Toyota would
not have provided it. Venom provides them since they are apparently
modified stock injectors. It would appear that the intake port divider to
each valve is the reason from splitting the stock injector pattern in half.
"Straight" injectors will spray much of the fuel onto the divider.
