Yep, similar to the 300Z DS. I know the 350Z uses a single piece but it's
carbon which should absorb vibration much better than steel and certainly
Al. It's an OEM piece so they're going to look to keep complaints to a
minimum, especially on a touring car. On an Exige, I think people might be
ok with a little more NVH.

In theory... it is less likely to vibrate and will make up for any variances

between the transmission and the rear differential. 

In theory only because others here have proven that one piece units work... 

I think 300zx's have the same type of system, maybe it is a Japanese thing
