I put in a 1 piece steel JAWS unit last year during the rebuild in hopes of losing some of the high speed vibration and less hassle to install. I ordered the 5 speed unit and it showed up a couple of inhes short. Sent the shaft back with accurate length measurement of my stock 2 piece unit and they spliced a piece in to make it longer, took about a week to turn it around. If you buy one make sure you know the desired length....

Subject: [Supras] 1 piece driveshafts??

Does anyone have experience with the 1 piece driveshafts available for the mk3? I've seen the 'Jaws Gear' shaft and the 'Driveshaft Shop' both offered in Steel and Al. I had read a while back that a problem with an Al. driveshaft is that it does not dampen vibration as well as a stock shaft. (I'm guessing this is because the stocker's rear section is 2 piece with rubber isolation) Can anyone confirm whether a 1 piece steel shaft dampens any better than an Al. one? I realize a carbon shaft would dampen better than both but I don't have the funds to go with that option.

Thanks,
Brian
