I've had a 1 pc AL driveshaft for years. No vibration that's felt as a result, but it does make noise come up into the cabin through the trans. If you've got a short-throw or modified stock shifter without the rubber isolation, this substantially compounds the problem.

I had read a while back that a problem with an Al. driveshaft is that it does not dampen vibration as well as a stock shaft. (I'm guessing this is because the stocker's rear section is 2 piece with rubber isolation) Can anyone confirm whether a 1 piece steel shaft dampens any better than an Al. one? I realize a carbon shaft would dampen better than both but I don't have the funds to go with that option.
