[Supras] MKIII AC

Time to flip a coin...

The system was designed to work best with R12 but as you look towards the
future how much longer will be around?

I expected the stuff to be gone by now but who knows, it may be around for a
while.

Your only worry is that you could put in $$$ into R12 and have it just leak
out.

I retrofitted mine because I have A/C experience and I didn't trust others
to touch my car either.

Thanks Bernie and Bob,

I read what berniek and Bob wrote and I also looked at the Cygnus Retrofit.

Seems like a lot of work that I'm not comfortable with doing myself.

I called the local Toyota $Dealer and they said they'll top up the r12 and
check the system for leak or any problems instead of converting it to r134a.

I'm so confused now.......should I convert or should I stay with the r12 and

fix whatever caused the AC not to work.....be it low r12 or a leak or
whatever. I'm trying to weigh the option and it comes down to the cost.
