Bernie,

I had the exact same problem with my N/A. I believe it is
caused the my mods & adjustments combined with a loss of battery power.
When my battery went dead, I installed a new battery and my idle cycled
just like you describe. If I remember correctly, it was caused by the
air flow meter - I had adjusted the spring tension. Do you have the
stock one on your car ? Have you messed with it ?? If so, try to
return it to stock configuration/setting. Once I did this with mine, I
disconnected the battery for about five minutes, then re-connected it
and the problem was gone. When mods are added without disconnecting the
power, the computer can handle them because it has a built up data base
of settings for the engine. Once the battery is disconnected, the
computer loses the built up data and must start over. I believe it gets
overwhelmed. If the air flow mater (or in your case the mass air sensor
(I believe)), doesn't fix it, work through all your mods, that would
effect fuel delivery, one at a time until you hit the right one. Mine
set no codes either.
One final thing, be sure your throttle position switch is set
correctly. If not, it can really mess up the idle.

Good Luck, Skip
