[Supras] Key hole light?

Hey guys,

Mines a 91T, and yes, it "had" the light on the outer drivers door lock.
Several things happened to it.  It's an LED stuck into the key cylinder
inside the door.  The light is piped to a plastic bezel around the key hole
outside.  That bezel, over 16 years, became cracked, and light no longer
flows nicely around inside it.  Also, the wires at the LED corroded and
disintegrated (twice).  I replaced the LED in the cylinder, and it worked
for a bit longer at a pretty dim level, but the cracked bezel is a real
stopper.  I think now with the advent of superbright LEDs, I might tackle
this again.  It really isn't that important, but since the car had it, I
wanted to keep it working.  But with everything else that needs doing
(brakes, wheels, tires, etc), it's a lot of work to get in the door and get
that lock cylinder out to replace the LED, that it really isn't going to get
done for a while.  Maybe if I need to get in there for something else.

Does an 89 have that feature?  Dunno.  Next time you get inside the door,
have a glance.

 My first Supra I had was a 90 model. When the doors were locked and you
lifted the drivers side door handle the interior lights would come on and
also a light in the drivers side door key hole would come on. Now I got a 89
model and the key hole does not light up.
 Should it be like the 90 model or does it not have this feature?
If it has it, could there be a bulb blown in it, or a blown fuse? Has
anybody ever replaced it?  This feature is very good. When it is dark it
keeps you from scratching the paint when trying to find the keyhole.
