[Supras] MKIII Starting issues

i say check the security computer in the car. my original supra had a transistor on the board explode, and then toyota told me the part never existed when i took it to them to get it replaced (12 wire version vs. 14 wire version, and part number not in the system). look up the wiring diagrams and check the voltage on the NEGATIVE lead connecting it to the solenoid (security computer removes the ground point for solenoid when tripped, disabling it from working.), obviously with a good positive connection to use as a reference, such as a temp line straight to battery.
the tech prob created a current for the solenoid when he hooked his probes up to it hence why it worked then.
the relays DO have issues of not working sometimes. some people just replace with stock part, others replace with one from a mustang that lasts a bit longer.
my backup was a direct connection from battery to switch contact on starter (not best idea, but works in an emergency)
