That's definitely a problem, but that's why I leave a drain line to the bottom of the spare tire well. Just
pull the little rubber grommet at the bottom of the spare tire well and the water all goes away.
At present, I have no leaks in the back, though I'll be putting on a new hatch, so I'm sure that I'll get some
until such time as I manage to fix all the leaks that the "new" hatch will have.
