[Supras] moving oil pickup

A dry sump invovles use of a scavenging pump, and oil tank with a chamber
large enough to allow oil-air separation. I know because the original
1970 Honda four cylinder bike I have (bought new) has one.
I don't see the complexity in lengthening the pickup tube in its
horizontal section, and connecting the bracket to a steel tab under one of
the main cap bolts. Cutting a pickup hole further back in the pan baffle
is an easy matter. What am I overlooking here regarding complexity? I've
had instances with rear sump GM cars where oil climbed the side of the
sump, evidenced by noisy hydraulic valve lifters. This time I'm
addressing straigth line acceleration with the 7M, but there will be no
audible warning of inipient starvation as with hydraulic lifters.
