[Supras] Dry Cell Batteries for MK3

I've had a dry cell in my mk3 since July 05'. I first bought an Odyssey
(925?) but it was actually larger in one dimension than stock. I ended
up using the Braille battery (11 lbs.) and provides over 500 peak CCA.
My car is not a DD and is garaged so it's not subject to many cold
starts. It normally starts fine as I drive it every 1-2 weeks but beyond
that time frame I use a smart charger as it can become a little weak. I
drained it once due to having the interior and brake lights on during a
lengthy alignment but a quick charger did the trick. I've also jumped it
with my jump box after the car sat for a while without starting. I do
carry a jump box to events just in case but starting one morning of a
track weekend last year with 30 deg. temps outside was pretty impressive
for a battery lighter than the one in my mower.

I still have a radio, although it's not used much. Also have other elec.
components in place (wideband, fuel control, misc gauges & sensors)

Hi all,
???? I am considering using a dry cell battery, such as the Odyssey
PC680, to save weight and make space for my oil catch can (right now it
sets next to the charcoal canister).? I have stock computers (ECU, ABS,
stock ignition, etc), but no radio (the 4" tipped?magnaflow provides all
the music I need to hear ).
???? So I was hoping that perhaps someone with a similar electrical
setup has installed a dry cell battery in their MK3 and would be kind
enough to share their experience with the group.?? I am trying to find
out if this type of battery has introduced any problems, like ignition,
or not enough oomph to crank the 7MGTE, or ECU resetting frequently?

Thanks in advance,
/Khalid 90T
