IMO it's best to sell the FIPK and get a universal cone
filter that fits whatever size pipe or sensor you're going
to use.  I think I sold my FIPK for $90.  The K&N cones go for
30-40 last I checked.

I plan to get some high temp ABS plastic and build a divider wall
that is pretty much in line with the frame rail, then turn towards
the fender just behind the filter.  I may use rubber weather stripping
on the edges to help seal the area off.  Anything will help however -
my air filter is usually around 135F thanks to all of the heat
coming off the radiator.  I just don't think fitting a 4" pipe through
the front of the engine bay will work.
