Yeah Rocky, its the best place that isnt effected
by heat soak, Im running a FFIM but have also tapped for the IAT in behind the
Passenger headlight Area (im RHD).

  So
the AIT sensor should be tapped behind the headlight instead of just before
3000 pipe? I guess that would eliminate reading heat soak in the engine bay
rather than actual intake air temperature that doesn't really pick up much
  engine heat after the IC.

On my old VPC setup using the ct26 turbo, i used something similar to
  this..
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BLUE-02-03-04-05-HONDA-CIVIC-SI-2-0L-EP3-AIR-INTAKE_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ38634QQihZ006QQitemZ160141420632QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

Just
cut the to ends of so that it followed the similar route of the
accordian,
and added a universal Apexi Filter, when you go speed density
(MAFTpro or
VPC) you can simply add a small K&N filter to the idle control
valve,
so the only piping needed on the intake is
the Vent hose.
The AIT sensor
must be placed pre TB just after the IC to give best
  results.

have you devised a cold air intake setup yet? I'm on the verge of
buying
the MAFT-Pro myself and just thinking through the additional stuff
I'll
need like the air intake snorkel.
