[Supras] Re :After 240000 miles I have a BHG

I filled my radiator and started it up and checked for bubbles and there was'nt any.
I burped it and put the radiator cap back on. Then I drove it for about 10 miles and
the coolant was gurgling in the reservoir. I have a CSF radiator. I got on their web site
and got the STANT cross reference for a new radiator cap. I put the new cap on and drove
it about 5 miles and there was steam coming out under the hood. I raised the hood and it was
coming from around the turbo area. The coolant line that goes to the turbo was leaking.
When I tried to remove it, it crumbled into pieces. I went to the auto parts store and got
a piece of 3/8 transmission oil cooler line. I put it on and burped it again. I drove it about
10 miles and checked it. No leaks, no gurgling, no steam. I think I fixed it and no BHG.
I believe that radiator cap was bad and was letting coolant out into the resevoir. And when
I replaced the cap it put more pressure on the cooling system and finished off the turbo cooling line.

LOL ... K.I.S.S.??? Good idea .. If that doesn't solve it, make sure you
TEST for a BHG via the snap on sniffer if it comes down to it. On top of
1300 bux, the rad cap and sniffer are worth the cost to check first!

I'd replace the radiator cap first.

hot that you could not touch it. It did not look like it had blowed the
coolant out. The temp gauge never went past the norm.
