Initially,  a check engine light and you will fail emission tests if you
care.  

As it completely fails the car will start running like &^%$ because the ECU
will cause the car to run rich.

At least I think they normally fail that way, It may be lean, I forget.
Either way the resulting drivability will be pretty bad
