Re: [Supras] Proper oil for TorsenI probably didn't word that quite right.  I meant to say that you don't use the friction modifier in the torsen type differential.  You do use the friction modifier in the clutch type differentials.

  Huh? Are folks using straight gear oil? I figured you were supposed to use a modifier to prevent/quiet chatter. I guess it can cause more slipping though right? Maybe my clutches weren't as bad as I thought as I've been using 75w90 regular (not the NS version)

  I'm going to try the regular 75w90 in the Torsen, guess you modifier more there than a clutch type.

  Any good quality gear oil will work, you do not want the friction modifier 
  additive for a standard clutch type differential.
