The first thing I'd check is the door pins. These are on the door frame. These units are bolted
to the door frame with a 10mm head bolt. Simple to remove. Check that the insulation on the wire
looks good. It will have a short wire to a connector just inside the chassis, beside the rear
seat.

If the wire is shorting to chassis, the car will take this as the door opening and closing, and
the lights will flash accordingly.

There is one other possibility, and that's the switch in the driver's side door handle. There's a
switch in there that lights the interior lights, and a lamp in the driver's side keyhole. This
could also be shorting out due to water infiltration, or simply an abrading of the insulation on
the wires.

Note, You can disconnect these inside the driver's door. The connectors for these are in the
lower rear corner of the door. On the driver's door there will be 3 small harnesses, and one
large connector. The large connector goes to the power lock solenoid, one of the small connectors
also goes to the lock mechanism. The other two are the handle switch, and the lamp connector for
the lock ring. The lock connector has a twin in the passenger door, the other two do not. If the
problem goes away when you disconnect these, then you know what the problem is...
