[Supras] torque plate for boring/honing 7M?

First you won't find many people w/ one, the shop that did my last 7M was
Benson's in Santa Ana Ca at the time, now in idaho somewhere. I shipped my
stuff out there from NE, so location is no excuse! lol.

If you are set on your machine shop have him measure the distortion. Jut
put your ARP studs in the block throw a used gasket in and torque down the
head, measure the bore w/ and w/ out the head torqued down, that will tell
you exactly what to expect.

In regards to the Honda blocks.... well the Honda engine isn't the same as a
7M. Most honda engines are aluminum open deck design.

that shows the deck of a b16 block, you can see that the stud placement
won't have as much distortion effect on the cylinder because of the open
deck as a cast iron block like the 7m would have.

you don't have a pic handy.

Oh and one other option is that i have heard you can make a torque plate
from old cylinder heads, i'm not sure how much work this is etc, but if you
need a head, i'm sure i've got a junk one that could be yours for cost of
shipping.
