[Supras] checking for tire fitment / clearance ??

Can anyone verify if the suspension at full compression, would cause the
fender to contact a tire that sits flush with the fender? This is with
Eibach springs which I believe are 1.3" and 1.0" lower than stock. Since
there is a fair amount of fender gap I'm thinking it won't compress that
far but I was hoping someone could verify this. I have not been able to
find mention of a similar offset and wheel width being used.

Thanks,

Brian

Subject: checking for tire fitment / clearance ??

I'm trying to see if the tires I'm hoping to run will fit w/o rubbing on
my mk3. I raised the front corner off the ground and checked the
clearance at the opposite rear corner. It seems that corner of the car
may actually compress lower with actual cornering forces acting on it
but I'm not sure. From just raising the opposite wheel off the ground,
there's still plenty of fender gap, is this an accurate method for
measuring this?

I have Tokico/Eibach suspension and would run approx. the same height
once switching to an adjustable setup. I'm planning to use 9" width on
front +35 and 9.5" +38 or 10" +38 for rear. Tires I was hoping to use
would be 255/40/17 front 275/40/17 rear. From measuring, the 17x10 would
sit just slightly past the fender edge (~1/4")

Thanks for any help,

Brian W-88T
